Haworth is known for it’s famous golf courses, excess amounts of trees and individual style homes. In 1904 the borough was developed. Formed from portions of Dumont and Harrington townships, the borough was named for the historic town of Haworth, England. In 2012, Haworth was named the 3rd best suburb in America by the Business Insider. Haworth public schools serves students kindergarten through eighth grade. Students 9th - 12th grade attend Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest. The New Jersey Transits bus route goes to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan in NY and also serves the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal in Washington Heights. Haworth has 2 private country clubs with golf course one being White Beeches, it is an 18 hole golf course and has hosted the U.S Open, Met Open and the State Open, the course was built in 1915. Haworth is a quiet neighborhood, a perfect place for bike riding, walking and enjoying a great life style.
